As of 2024, the hospital has been upgraded to a Regional Emergency Medical Center, offering specialized care for critical emergency patients not only in Gwangmyeong City but also in nearby regions.

  The Department of Emergency Medicine provides primary care for emergency patients while operating a Regional Emergency Medical Center. We specialize in delivering rapid and effective emergency treatment for critical cases such as acute myocardial infarction, acute stroke, and cardiac arrest, ensuring timely and life-saving care.

  The Department of Emergency Medicine at Chung-Ang University Gwangmyeong Hospital is composed entirely of board-certified emergency medicine specialists, ensuring that emergency patients receive direct care from experts for swift decision-making and treatment.

  In the 2023 Emergency Medical Institution Evaluation, our Emergency Medical Center was awarded the top A-grade, a distinction given to only 30% of the 422 emergency medical institutions nationwide. Additionally, we achieved the highest 1st-grade ranking for nursing care, demonstrating our commitment to excellence.

  This comprehensive evaluation assessed criteria across essential domains, including safety, effectiveness, patient-centeredness, timeliness, functionality, and public service.
