What is the Department of Radiology?
The Department of Radiology is responsible for the diagnosis, biopsy, and some types of treatment by using X-ray, ultrasonography, and magnetic fields.

Commonly used examination methods include simple radiography and fluoroscopy using X-ray, ultrasonography, computed tomography (CT) visualizing the sectional images of the human body, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) visualizing the sectional images of the human body with magnetic fields.

Using the medical instruments mentioned above, the Department of Radiology diagnoses diseases, determines treatment strategies, judges the treatment progress, assists in other departments’ treatment, and performs biopsy.

We sometimes directly intervene in treatment. For example, if the digestive system, biliary system, or urinary system is obstructed, we widen or drain the narrowed lesions. Sometimes we prevent bleeding without any surgical methods and conduct chemoembolization on cancerous lesions.
